I really like the leg design and gearing. Gears are like muscles for mecha. The more gears, the more powerful the machine (appears to be). I don't use exclusively 1x1s... I use other size bricks as well, and at the seams of the baseplates beneath I make sure that I have larger bricks that spans the seams to hold the baseplates together. eric (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.build.mosaic)

(...) The key thing is keep the center of gravity of the ring at the drive axle. If it is 1mm off then you will need a lot more torque, and the rotation speed will be non-uniform. (...) Some points of notes: I made the neck move on all three axis, if the head looks funny, it probably because it is at a strange angle. mucho gearing in the legs. This is what is (...)
