Inspired by Steve DeCraemer's (URL) S.P.U.> (picture by Rob Hendrix) first shown at Brickfest 2003, I decided to build a bigger version. Six BrickLink orders, over 4000 pieces, 180 triangles - and this is what I came up with. (2 URLs) Gallery (after (...) (21 years ago, 15-Sep-03, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX) !

(...) David you just don't get it. Where I come from, smack is the time honored rhetorical tradition of trash-talk, including, but not exclusive to mom-bashing. Smack is not bad for you, in some circles its a great source for humor, and sharpening (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Hey Keith, Whether it's five unfolded fingers across the face or a shot in the arm, smack is just bad for you and everybody else. The impression that I get, judging by your writing style, that "smack" is just another way of saying that you have a (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) about this guy except the (slightly overexcessive) use of decorated tiles. Sort of jumbles things about a bit. But great joint tech - I really like the way the cockpit opens up. I need to get back to that style; I haven't done one of those for (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

(...) If you drop it, it will break. ;) Also, if kids were to play with it with the usual gusto that goes with Lego I wouldn't put money on it lasting too long. However, it can be handled reasonably, and as seen in this view: (URL) holds it's pose (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: Posable Horse Minifig Scale (or close enough)

(...) Yup, the whole neck structure is the Achilles Heel as far as presentation is concerned. I'm going to post some alternates. One that's before me now offers even more movement up/down, so I may stick with that. My first attempt was truly ugly -- (...) (21 years ago, 14-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)
