New Mecha - The Macro Bot - Next Generation Little Bot

After I created the (URL) Little Bot Series> I always wanted to create the next generation Mecha that was more flexible and poseable than my previous creations. I spent Only Two Days building it. Two 8 hour building sessions. So that's why the Mecha (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) Well, I must say...leave it to Anthony to generate a wicked draconic project, scales included. (...) Well, that seems to have been accomplished...the only concern now is movement articulation. Can this dragon be set in a variety of poses (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: More Poses, Construction Pics too

(...) Mr Sava, I am humbled and bedazzled all at the same time. I am so glad there is a person like you creating these Dragons. Not only is your desire to learn honest, but I see you having so much fun doing so. This newest creation will surely add (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Instructions for Mecha

(...) I would recommend Gla Gla's Armature instructions - the armature is extremely easy to build, and is has (more or less) gundam proportions. Also check out Eric Sophie's "little bot" instructions. They have some interesting joint tech ideas and (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) This really is quite nice! You should be proud of such an accomplishment - not many mecha builders attempt a model on such a large scale, much less do so as skillfully as you have. Congratulations on completing such a wonderful model! (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: More Poses, Construction Pics too

(...) Seriously...SO PERFECT!!! I'd love to be able to create that... But i don't think i have the parts. (looks like a whole lot of Technic went into that) I wonder if you could create a dragon that beautiful at half the size. Would the (...)   MOC: Caterpillar walker

After doing my spider walker (URL) , which was essentially a bi-ped with overlapping footprints, I decided to create a walking caterpillar. It has 12 pairs of independent legs which move in the rhythmic pattern typical of caterpillars. As with the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) I suppose, though I really don't like to think of myself that way too much. A lot of what I do isn't as LEGO-centric as a lot of the other work on Lugnet. Story writing is a lot different than devoting your time only to building. (...) Thanks (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha)

  More Poses, Construction Pics too

Wondering where all the pics went? They're here, with all new poses and inner working pictures. (URL) PLMKWYT! --Anthony (URL) (21 years ago, 21-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

Hi Anthony, (...) That'd be an excellent soundtrack to accompany the MOC your showcasting here. (...) You did indeed. However you may not have noticed you've grown to be a giant of sorts yourself. This creation is a vast improvement from an already (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) Nah, not me. I hate having my picture taken. I have taken more pictures of the draogn though, with a minifig in the shot to show scale. That's the best that I can do on that front. He is big, though. Somewhere over 150 studs long. (...) (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

(...) Not too much gushing yet. I guess he's just not as impressive as I thought without some proof of him not being just a statue. But it really doesn't matter, I didn't rebuild him for the glory, I did it to prove to myself that I could make (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Instructions for Mecha

Hi all, Does anyone have any instructions for some Gundam-like mecha? I don't want to copy the mecha designs and such but I do need some instructions for certain areas such as the ball shoulders on David Thomas's (URL) mecha> and some high heel (...)   Re: Standing on the shoulders of Giants

Woah. You really need a pic of you next to that monster. I kind of get the scale, but I need to see a human body next to it to really get the scale. I suspect this thing is really, really big. Woah. So how much mobility do you get out of it? Can he (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  DSM Incinerator

Check out our latest DSM MOC from our homepage, Incinerator; (URL) the trash compacted go through the incinerator which generates an ample amount of power used by the lower levels of the Death Star.   Re: New MOC: Microscale Ship

(...) Great shape, Nathan, and good engines, but I think the underside is a little flat. Perhaps some inverse slopes, or greeblies? The thing I always asked myself while I was building microscale was, "what microscale features can I put on?". That's (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)
