  Re: MOC - Autobot Bitstream

(...) Hey, thanks! -jeremiah- (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC - Autobot Bitstream

(...) Thanks! Yeah, the cutting itself is pretty hard to bring myself to do. It's a good thing, too, otherwise I'd have all sorts of custom parts laying around :) I do make sure I absolutely need to mod before I do anything drastic - I spent lots of (...)   Re: MOC - Autobot Bitstream

(...) Thanks Bruce. I've always loved the challenge of transforming, and with enough experience in mecha I've learned to parse the transformation into single joints ahead of time and figure out how to build around them. It's a whole lot easier than (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC - Autobot Bitstream

(...) Thanks, Gil! You know, I hadn't even thought of that. It is hard to get both the robot and car modes to look good. It sounds crazy even to me, but I think Bitstream's look is due entirely to my spending too much time looking at David Willis' (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: We need a new curator

(...) Perhaps I should have explained more in detail. It is our policy to have an Administrator or Moderator start and manage contests. Therefore, Dave was called upon to manage two of them. However, he was not able to complete them and another (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  The Latest Firehall

I rebuilt my firestation: (URL) on LUGNET mentioned a great idea--make a building in sections so you can change specific parts easily. I mean, I build my robots all module-like for those very reasons, but I always made my buildings like real life (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build)

Re: We need a new curator

I call it like I see it. We have not had an update in 4 months. While I came off as very serious, the fact still remains that he is MIA as far as I'm concerned. A responsible person communicates. We have heard nothing. I get no thrill or happiness (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

...What bored mech pilots do? (URL) you know.... :<) Ryan (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Are LEGO going for military models now?

(...) Agreed, it looks like a SAM battery, and isn't that a bit unappropriate for a set that was originally exclusive to airline companies (according to Brickset). Nothing more that I want to think about as I'm on a flight than surface-to-air (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general, lugnet.build.military)

  Re: MOC - Autobot Bitstream

This is a total gas....I can't believe you that the car and robot modes look so much like, well, a car and a robot. Man, Hasbro can't even do that with free-form molds half the time! Excellent! Cheers, -Gil (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Sea Monkey Attack Vehicle - the Attack Crab

(...) Yep, that was part of my inspiration... that and the initial shape was the two shell parts implied the crab look. I don't have the blue parts for the Leviathan..well, not yet, anyways:) And there's the subpods and the Ulysses..but they need (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: We need a new curator

As the BZPower Administrator, I would like to discuss Dave’s participation at BZPower since you have brought it up. Dave is one of our moderators. He is in charge of the BBC forum and does his job quite well when he is at BZPower. He also had run (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Are LEGO going for military models now?

The sheriff or police emblem seems pretty clear. I think the 'rocket launchers' are supposed to be landing skids (yeah, right). I definitely agree that alternate models seems like it has to be a SAM launcher... what else could it be? SAMs for the (...)   Re: MOC - Autobot Bitstream

More than meets the eye! Very cool. Transforming models is such a cool challenge. Yours works well in both car and robot modes. Side point: You know, I could never figure out if the song went "Robots in disguise" or "Robots in the skys". "Disguise" (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit.

Hey, Cool MOC! The proportions make it look sort of mecha-gorilla-ish to me, which makes it menacing. I love the hands and the articulation. The humorous poses made me grin. Bruce (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC - Autobot Bitstream

Woof! Very smooth. Like you say, who knows what kind of car that is, who cares! It looks cool enough. Dig the way the legs come apart and then the poses, Great! Can't say I'd cut my peices, but that's me. This turned out great! Mark (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Pretty good job Jeremiah! I really like it! This is a really good transformer! Terry (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Debut MOCs: Landmate Frenzy

(...) Don't worry about it. I just liked the look of single launcher. (...) Great! Can't wait (...) Remember, Beauty is in the eye... When I look at someone's MOC, I almost always find something inspiring about it. For someone like me (that takes a (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit.

(...) mecha building, but I know it isn't easy to do that. The honkin' feet give it a solid look, and the oversized hands seem to fit it really well too. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: MOC: Articualted Power Exosuit.

That's a blast! The scaling of it is great...big hands, big feet (which totally rock BTW), big head. A lot of mecha seem to be tall and lithe...this guy bucks the trend and does it well! Very cool. The natural poses are hilarious....the shrug just (...) (22 years ago, 7-Feb-03, to lugnet.build.mecha)
