  Re: star destroyer?

(...) I'd have to agree... the SMALLEST microfig tie figher I can imagine (1x2 tile, 1x1 round plate, 1x2 plate w/ centered stud) is about 9.6mm wide. TIE fighters are (roughly) 6 meters wide. The Executer (the super star destroyer) is about 8,000 (...) (25 years ago, 30-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Lego Expo at the Toy Connection (Crystal Lake, IL)

The Lego expo at the Toy Connection Saturday was a great success! I went with Brandon Grifford (Zacktron co-creator) and took about an hour, hour and a half trip to get there [1].   #1682 Space Shuttle mod

I recommend this modification to all those who have this set. 1. Replace the trans-light blue windshield (ugh!) on the Space Shuttle with the "smoke"-colored one from the rear of the Star Wars Snowspeeder. 2. Enjoy! It's a very simple switch, but (...) (25 years ago, 29-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

Re: New models of Semi Trucks etc.

(...) I've built an eight-wide train for my 4.5V tracks, too. Unfortunately, it's very difficult to get enough friction with the track when you don't use train wheels for the drive wheels.   Re: Q:Using DUPLO baseplates w/LEGO

(...) Are there more than one version? I think mine (well, Taya/Nik's) ca. 1994 did. But I could be misremembering. In that case I would think nothing will work??? (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Q:Using DUPLO baseplates w/LEGO

The bricks have the hollow center in the studs but the baseplates (At least the baseplates) do not. Scott (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Q:Using DUPLO baseplates w/LEGO

I would think any fullheight bricks with an even number of studs in each direction ought to work, the DUPLO(r) baseplate studs are the same as the brick studs, their hollow center mates with the LEGO(r) tube. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)

  Q:Using DUPLO baseplates w/LEGO

I picked up two large green DUPLO baseplates at a garage sale today and I am wondering what (if any) LEGO bricks fit directly onto the DUPLO baseplate. I know I can put some duplo bricks onto the baseplate and then use LEGO on those but I would (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)
