The bricks have the hollow center in the studs but the baseplates (At least
the baseplates) do not.

| I would think any fullheight bricks with an even number of studs in each direction ought to work, the DUPLO(r) baseplate studs are the same as the brick studs, their hollow center mates with the LEGO(r) tube. (...) (25 years ago, 28-Aug-99, to lugnet.build)
