Dave, thanks for the complements. i say modestly successful b/c i've only been working on them for about a month, and there is alot better out there. some of the guys posting to this board make my designs look sorry. but i'm happy with mine. i feel (...) (...) Ya, John's got some good ones. If you want masonry buildings from about 1850 to about 1950 or so, you gotta have those cornices... they're a defining feature of US cities, or so it seems. (...) Thanks! The red parts are 2x2x2 slopes (minifig dresses). You have to drop them down one plate lower than the tie-fighter piece which will produce a slight gap along the angle but it's ignoble.
