  more turbocycles!

Anyone for a little more turbocycle action? I built three more, the Firebrand, Thanatos, and Blizzard. They can all be found on the ground section of my web page. Enjoy Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Bonding lego...

(...) If you want permanent, use PVC/ABS pipe cement. You can pick it up in the plumbing section of your local hardware store. It actually melts the contact surfaces and fuses them together. Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Bonding lego...

(...) I like using a glue gun (WARM, not hot melt) as it provides good, solid adhesion, but you can still get the bricks appart at a later date--with a little extra effort (and then peel the adhesive completely out of the opposing surfaces with (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts

(...) eeps! That was me! Didn't mean to make you sad. I forgot if they are referred to as "mech" or "mecha", I seem to remember someone being strongly reminded one of the terms was incorrect. Got it now, Mecha. Although, if any of my minifigs saw (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Bonding lego...

Greetings... Has anyone ever successfully bonded two lego peices togeather, very solidly? What did they use, what seems to work the best? Glue? Thanks in advance, -- Mark Nelson (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Re: New MOC: "Ranger" Dual-Role Mecha

(...) Heh, well after I saw your "Eisen" mecha (as well as Sun Yun's "Escala"), I was immediately inspired! (...) Thanks Geordan! Yeah, I was afraid I would run out of good colour schemes to use. ;-) (...) plating. Yeah, I really enjoy making mecha (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts

(...) Quote from the Starship Modeler mecha page ((URL) obvious component to the stable of sci-fi vehicles are "mecha". While the strict japanese definition covers anything mechanical, for our editorial purposes we'll define "mecha" as manned power (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts

(...) This actually makes me very sad. I've noticed a couple people mention that they won't be building mecha anymore and that is a great loss to the build.mecha community. When I see something "awe-inspiring", i take in as much of the "awe" I can (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts

(...) See? It hasn't been 30 seconds after my post and there is already a person confirming exactly what I said. I am not surprised that people don't want to see mechs, and note, I have never even critisized Lego for not having a mecha theme. It is (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts

Ok let me step into this one since I just happened across the thread via the web interface. I have no idea what "Mecha" is or are, I see these creations that y'all post to brickshelf and such, but I still don't know what really makes a mecha a (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts

(...) 1. Hmm... It's probably a good thing I din't catch that. I just made a little experiment on my mother. I showed her a military space ship and a military mech and her responce was that the mech was simply too good and it was too obvious that it (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts

<snip> (...) Ya, my mom refers to anything I make (mecha-wise) as a "goomer". And Shiri just gives me crap about it. :-) Women just don't get it. ;-) (...) I thought about this for a bit, and first I didn't agree with the "most innovative" thing. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: Keppler Industries update: T-109 Wasp

(...) Yea, I was starting to realize that was becomeing a problem. So that's why I didn't rush to make the deadline for the contest. (...) Thanks! PS Did you get my email about the instruction generator? --Kyle (URL) (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: Diablock Mecha

(...) I've actually seen this before in Hobby Japan but I thought they were mega blocks or something. I didn't realize there was a toy company entirely built on the concept of mecha and construction toys. Nice. If only Lego would embrace mecha. (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Recent Mecha Thoughts

(...) I agree with Steve some people just aren't into it. I'll stereotype a bit and and say the demographic that ain't into it is a bit older. Is there anybody in the .mecha group that's over 35? I doubt it. Another thing I've noticed is some people (...) (23 years ago, 8-Jan-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New MOC: NH-1 'Eisen'

(...) Thanks for the compliments Stuart! (...) hey, I dunno about that, there are many builders out there that are many times more skilled than myself, I think that if ou gave this idea to yourself, or Mladen etc., you guys could work wonders.   Re: New MOC: NH-1 'Eisen'

snip (...) Really? How do you figure? The tiger really lacked in some key design elements, and the skeleton within was terrible, maybe it's just a matter of personal taste.
