  Re: Macross Valkyrie Version 3.0

<drool> <picks up jaw> That's beautiful! You've captured the look of the Valkyrie perfectly, and you made it transform! WOW! That is quite a feat! (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Macross Valkyrie Version 3.0

After finally seeing both the Yamato and Toynami attempts at making a valkyrie toy I couldn't resist but give my Lego version another try. Well I spent the better part of saturday in creating what I believe to be my best valk yet. But I have made (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Assorted Mecha Studies

Hello all, Just wanted to point you to some mecha that I built recently. There are three models in all. My goal was to integrate as much posablilty as possible; posability that holds weight and is easy to articulate. You'll see what I mean when you (...)   Re: Updated my website

Cool Jon! I just loved the image right on the front page. Fake plastic love, hehee :-). We can wish right? And I can't wait for some attachments to the pods... Can we say modular mecha? Ooh, so many ideas, so little time... (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Updated my website

I added the new Ronin, the Selkie and the Personal Transport to my website. I've also created some new renders of the Hikaru Combat Pod. I've made some revisions to the pod recently so I'll have some renders of that as well. The new pod will be able (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

RE: "New" MOC: Motorized Ferrari F355 Spider

(...) Thanks, Jake! (...) I used L3P with LGEO parts and a camera angle of 40 degrees to convert the DAT file to a POV file. Then I included my colors file[1] (based on Anton Raves'[2] colors). After some adjustments of the light sources in the (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Couple new "future" bikes

(...) Thanks! The renders are actually Jon's. He made that scene, ain't it cool? :D ---SteveR (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Sculpturist

you MUST be new. Welcome! Eric's been a contributing member to the LUGNET community (and the LEGO company) for a lot longer than i've been here. (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: Couple new "future" bikes

(...) Your motorcycle designs are great. And I ove the way you dressed the set of the chase scene render. Great! And I don't even like motorcycles that much. But if these existed in real life, I might change my mind. (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

New MOC - Model Team-ish truck

Hi everybody - I usually hang out in .space, but I do build other things on occasion. I've just posted pictures of my latest creation - a large-scale truck. I showed it at the recent BayLUG meeting. (URL) probably more Miniland than Model Team - it (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.town, lugnet.modelteam)

  Couple new "future" bikes

Hiya Lugnet. I've finished a couple new "future" bikes. (URL) things are getting popular lately, it seems. :) Sorry I don't have any real-life pics or any nice renders of the new ones. I think Jon Palmer may be rendering a couple along with his new (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

(...) I do have a question though....at (URL) you have a beautiful rendering. How did you make that so nice? Jake --- Jake McKee AFOL LUGNET Member #211 (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: "New" MOC: Motorized Ferrari F355 Spider

(...) Fantastic (as always, Bram). I think your 8 wides look scaled to minifigs sitting down (they are a totally different scale sitting down than standing up, due to their short legs). And I know they're ugly as sin, but possibly you could use the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Would you work for Lego?

The toy business is changing and after working for 5 years as an advanced designer for a competitive brand ,I wouldn't want to work for LEGO either. The fact that kids have had their play pattern changed over the years bothers me. They are leaded (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Help -- wardrobe truck

(...) First, you should not try to combine wardrobe and makeup into 1 truck. It's never done that way. Secone, don't try to fit too many stations into one trailer. A standard 20 foot trailer would contain only 4 stations plus storage space. Stagger (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: D.C. Metrorail Car

(...) It is definately sturdy to run around a track and hold up to adult handling (holding from both ends). It would not survive child play in it's current form. The interior is completely hollow except for 1 2x8 plate running from roof to floor at (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: D.C. Metrorail Car

Yes, I would love to try it on the amfleet cars, which have a pronounced curvature. There are two problems, 1x4 gray hinge plates are fairly rare and you can't use the wide roof with regular bricks. I used brown 1x2 log bricks to get the clearance (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: D.C. Metrorail Car

(...) Wow! where were those pics when I was building the model? I can see that I need to make some changes to the doors. The pics I was working from all had the doors open so I had to guess. KL (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)
