After finally seeing both the Yamato and Toynami attempts at making a
valkyrie toy I couldn't resist but give my Lego version another try.
Well I spent the better part of saturday in creating what I believe to be my
best valk yet.
But I have made concessions to the transformation for the sake of
aesthetics, much in the way that Yamato did with their Valk design. If they
can't do it in toy form where they can injection mold their own pieces, then
I can cut myself a little slack.
So the final result is an ultra posable and semi-transformable model. The
arms and legs have to be removed and reslotted in the appropriate areas but
no additional pieces have to be added or removed. Everything else
transforms as it should and holds together on its own in every mode.
Well enough talk here are the pictures . . .

| (...) Sun, this look fantastic! I love the yellow highlighting, for some reason I find the color scheme the most captivating aspect of the entire thing ... it just looks amazing. Are you going to be bringing this to the NELUG meeting next week? I'd (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

| (...) VERY IMPRESSIVE! Man, that thing really looks good! I often thought about how difficult it might be to build such a thing; you really pulled it off well! I've recently bought the Robotech DVD's, and watching them has made me hope that I would (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

| You have built the Holy Grail of all mecha! This model is very, very nice. I have always dreamed of seeing a transforming Robotech Valkyrie made of Lego, but didn't think it was possible. Wow, great work, and you did it in my favorite scale (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
