After finally seeing both the Yamato and Toynami attempts at making a

Well I spent the better part of saturday in creating what I believe to be my
best valk yet.

But I have made concessions to the transformation for the sake of
aesthetics, much in the way that Yamato did with their Valk design.  If they
can't do it in toy form where they can injection mold their own pieces, then
I can cut myself a little slack.

So the final result is an ultra posable and semi-transformable model.  The
arms and legs have to be removed and reslotted in the appropriate areas but
no additional pieces have to be added or removed.  Everything else
transforms as it should and holds together on its own in every mode.

Well enough talk here are the pictures . . .

Man oh man! BEAUTIFUL.  Jasson Julich are you seeing this?
I also love your mecha factory stuff.  It made my day when I
saw your pics on Brickshelf.
Give us some tips please!
DAT files would be awesome.
Please don't stop now, give us some more.

This past month I've had nice long expanses of time on the weekends to tinker. (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
