  Container grabber

While experimenting with the red container grabber as used in 4555 I noticed that the holes for the black rubber are the same size as a stud. I have now modified one so that it has grab arms that can lift and load my grey piggyback trailers onto the (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.books, lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Machnines handling garbage - video

Machines handle garbage. The world processes so much garbage that we have thousands of mechanical inventions to handle it. These machines can give us LEGO building ideas. Perhaps, clever LEGO builders can improve these machines. An excellent video (...) (25 years ago, 2-Jan-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.books, lugnet.technic)

  Ultimate LEGO Book - Frustration

OK, this has been posted before, but I'll post it again: the Ultimate LEGO Book can be frustrating. I've got a copy of this book (actually, Kristin got it from my co-worker's wife, who's a DK consultant, so is Krissy, but she doesn't have cool (...) (25 years ago, 15-Dec-99, to lugnet.books)

Re: I'm writing a Mindstorms book.

(...) The book has been printed (I've got a copy in my hands right now), but I don't know how long it takes to get into circulation from the bookstores. I believe Fatbrain (www.fatbrain.com) currently has some in stock. I would expect Amazon to get (...) (25 years ago, 27-Nov-99, to lugnet.books)

  Re: DK books

If you check amazon.co.uk and use 'Lego' as your search word, both of these books appear twice - I think for UK and US editions - under slightly different names, e.g. 'Amazing Figures (Lego Modelers)' for the US editions and 'Lego Modellers : (...)   Re: DK books

I should have posted earlier, sorry. Waterstones in Bath had them in when I checked on Monday. They cost me a whopping £3.99 each, which is the price shown on the back of the book anyway. I think they're great. My daughter has already seen the (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.books)

  Re: DK books

(...) I ordered these from Amazon.com as soon as I saw them listed but I just checked my order and they are still listed as "Not Yet Released by Publisher". As far as the price are you saying you can get them both for 5BP? Not bad since amazon.co.uk (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.books)

  DK books

I got my "Amazing Animals" and "Fabulous Figures" books today... I'll post a fuller review later, but breifly, - Each has about instructions for about 20 models - The images are ray-traced and very good quality. The studs even have 'LEGO' on them - (...)
