Hi all,
I finally got around to building some new rolling stock. As I have no internet
at home I had to build it from a model from a magazine
(Continental Modeller) but I tried to get it as accurate to the model as I
could. As is pretty obvious the model itself is actually 0-4-0 because I really
wanted it powered. Maybe if I get ahold of some of Ben’s new mid-range wheels I
could give it some power from the PFS but for now it will remain as an 12V style
steam train.
The build is fairly straightforward but does involve stud inversion at the rear
and for the entire boiler. The front chimney uses Sava’s brilliant idea of a
small train wheel on the top. The brake valve (I think) features a skeletons
limb for added breaking power (PI). I need to buy a few more pieces in green to
finish it off (1x1 tiles and rounds) but figure it’s quite postable as is.

I think its the option I would have taken and its not really that obvious the representation of the valve gear and connecting rods hides it well. You look like you (...)
