(...) Here's my thing. The Flextronics deal was (URL) announced> just over two years ago, in 2006. Jake (URL) responded> to issues raised over part quality just over four years ago, in 2004.   Re: A question about Flextronics & brick opacity

(...) Hey Tim, Thanks for the reply! I'm very glad to hear that TLG is aware of these issues and taking steps to address them. I've made my peace with the color change (although I haven't adopted them yet!), but this variance in the other colors in (...) (16 years ago, 25-Jul-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: A question about Flextronics & brick opacity

A question about Flextronics & brick opacity

Hey all, I recently bought the SpongeBob Rocket Ride #3831 and was quite pleased with the design and functions. However, I noticed that the tan plate has a brighter, slightly more translucent quality to it. I noticed the same thing with orange when (...) (16 years ago, 18-Jul-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  A request to ambassadors

Hi all, Most if not all of you have seen the leaked pictures of the set 4999 Vestas Windmill, and the intense desire of AFOLs to get this set.   Re: TLG wants your input on the CITY line

My second recommendation is my personal favorite: John Deere Tractors Tractors & their accessories (pull behind & front end attachments) would provide a great deal of play value for farming outside the city as well as leveling land for new city (...)   Re: The LEGO Ambassador Nomination thread

Testimonial - Tim Gould I think Tim would make a superb Ambassador for the next cycle. He is an active member of many of the finest online LEGO communities, and a great guy in person.   Re: The LEGO Ambassador Nomination thread

Thanks very much, Scott. I'd ask that the following sentence be removed as it's not actually accurate. My contribution to the parts library and software side of LDraw has been very minimal. (...) And once again thank you. Tim (16 years ago, 17-May-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: The LEGO Ambassador Nomination thread

Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

(...) It's a long shot and might be hard to pull off as a single kit, but I'd like to see a minifig-scale Order 66 diorama set, with the recreations of the scenes in Revenge of the Sith where the various Jedi get taken out. It'd be a good (...) (16 years ago, 19-Feb-08, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Re: Poll for new Town Sets

(...) This is a big reason that LEGO has always had a hard time marketing to girls. LEGO town/city has always been too action-oriented, and that simply doesn't appeal to girls . . . at least not to the extent that action appeals to boys. Sets that (...)   Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

Re: Queen Amidala's royal starship in CHROME

(...) As cool as this would look, I don't think it would go over very well if released as a set. I got the UCS Naboo Fighter, and even with the limited number of chrome parts that were in that set, they still had a fair amount of surface scuffing. (...)   Re: Queen Amidala's royal starship in CHROME

Queen Amidala's royal starship in CHROME

Many Star Wars fans have been clamoring for a Queen Amidala mini-fig in one of her royal outfits for years. This would be an opportunity to make that happen.   Re: LEGO Star Wars Anniversary Set - Help Decide

(...) I'd certainly buy R2D2/C3PO sculptures, but something more "playable" might appeal to a wider audience. Theed palace/throne room or Amidala's starship from Episode 1 would be good options.
