Per Steve Witts LEGO Ambassador

Please post here if you would like to represent the LUGNET community as a

Seeing as its so quiet here, I might as well throw my hat into the ring:
My name is Teddy Welsh. Im a 34-year-old mathematics professor in Westfield,
MA, and I would like to be considered as a nominee for Ambassador, representing
lugnet. I have a professional interest in the brick: I use Lego and Duplo
elements in my mathematics classroom, and I encourage the future teachers in my
courses to do the same. I am active on lugnet.edu, where I publish some of my
work. A typical example is here. Also check
out these
slides from a talk I gave in April.
Of course, I bring the normal range of themes (space, train, anything
community-oriented), clever hands, and strong opinions about the different
product lines, but I believe I can bring a valuable perspective to the
Ambassador program as an instructor pioneering new instructional techniques
using our favorite bricks.
In the interest of full disclosure, I have also requested nomination through my
local group, NELUG. I appreciate your consideration.
Respectfully,
-Teddy
