My two 5938's came directly from Legoland ($3 each there) and they have the

Of course, the new tree sucks - it defeats the purpose of having Lego rather
than any other plastic tree.  With the segmented tree, I can make them vary in
height and give the trunk a unique shape.  I suppose I could mix in a certain
amount of the new tree, but I'm glad I have the a large stock of the
customizable ones.

If they start selling for $10, then I have at least $400 in palm trees!  I • want
my jungle island to look like a jungle!  I'm going through my piles of Lego • and
organizing them at the moment, so I'll have to see how many trees I actually
have, but I wouldn't be surprised to have over 50.

Hi Bruce,
The new palm trees are made by Playmobil I think ;-)  As for the 5938 check
the Wal-Marts in your area.  Ours had them at $2 a pop, not bad!  I just got
back into town so I'll start my search for the ultra-cheap 5988 for you
again.  I know I'll find one soon, so keep your fingers crossed.

Cheers,
Mark L

(...) Not one 5988 at three different wal-marts, and the fourth one had it full price. If you can snag one for me, great, if not, thanks for the thought! Bruce (25 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.adventurers)
