Re: Palm Trees: old segmented vs. new one piece

(...) Yup, I regret only buying two when I was at Legoland. I love that little jackal statue. Bruce (26 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Palm Trees: old segmented vs. new one piece

(...) My two 5938's came directly from Legoland ($3 each there) and they have the classic segmented palm tree. Somehow, I have yet to get the one piece trunk. Of course, the new tree sucks - it defeats the purpose of having Lego rather than any (...) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.adventurers)

  Picture of 5919?

Can anyone help me with a picture of the box that the North American version of the 5919 The Valley of the King's comes in? The picture is missing here: (URL) if you have the box and a digital camera or a scanner your help would be appreciated. (...) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  2995 and 2996 from Shop-at-Home

I just got a 5900 from Shop-at-Home. It turned out to be produced in Europe. It just has a label added across the front warning about the choking hazard. See (URL) pictures. My question is: Does anyone know if it is the same with 2995 and 2996 from (...) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Palm Trees: old segmented vs. new one piece

(...) Can't help with number 1, but I can certainly tell you I despise the new palm trees. James (URL) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Palm Trees: old segmented vs. new one piece

Ben Gatrelle wrote in message ... (...) in a (...) (which (...) Yes, the old palm tree is better. This is a great set for clearance. It has an old palm tree (currently would get you at least $1 on auction, 4 blue 2x2x3 steep slopes (to go with the (...)   Palm Trees: old segmented vs. new one piece

I was looking at a small Adventurers Egyptian set#5938 marked down to $5 at local Wal-Marts and I was wondering if the older segmented palm trees are officially discontinued and if therefore all of the new sets come with the new "OnePiecePalmTree." (...) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Dino Island Characters

(...) to (...) There seems to be two new characters: - One with a brown army cap and black torso with white sleeves - Another with white shirt and dark hair - possibly a female! See (URL) some small images. Christian (26 years ago, 10-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Dino Island Characters

(...) is (...) It looks like Gail and Henry also return, and the evil Barron von Barron has flown in from Egypt as well. There seems to be one more bad guy that I can't identify. I have to say, this is the best from LEGO this year. I love it! (26 years ago, 9-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Dino Island Characters

Anybody know which characters are going to be in Dino Island? I know Johnny is (duh) and Dr. Kilroy (because he makes a good field scientist type), but what about the others? Any known new characters (besides the dinos, if you want to call them (...) (26 years ago, 9-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New images of Dino sets

(...) Christian, I just removed those two sets from the LUGNET sets database since the set numbers are still illegitimate at this point (even though the images you scanned are legitimate). It's too bad the images weren't accompanied by set numbers (...) (26 years ago, 9-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: New images of Dino sets

(...) I'd better clarify this - if possible. The new LEGO catalog is out in Germany and it does not yet contain any Dino sets, BUT: the latest german LEGO Club Magazine showed several new 2000 sets though they were used for a kind of labyrinth or (...) (...) Coincidence? I think not.... Cheers, Mark L (26 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New images of Dino sets

(...) Actually, it was San Diego. I am a fan of the JP movies, and in an amazing coincidence, JP3, which will be filming in Florida and California, arrives in theatres Memorial Day, around the time the new sets come out. (26 years ago, 7-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Adventurers DinoIsland Research Glider

(...) I swear that WalMart and Target suck mummy dust in southern california. I was just checking them yesterday. Nothing to speak of was on sale (Forbidden Ruins was at $60 or something like that). I got my 5938 for $3 at Legoland, however. Just as (...) (26 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Adventurers DinoIsland Research Glider

(...) I have a sneaking suspicion that it is entirely different from any of the sets we've seen so far, either legitimately or otherwise. None of the aircraft seen by me so far has matched the description of a "Research Glider". I've been doing some (...) (26 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.adventurers)

Re: New images of Dino sets

I prefer to think that the lost world never came out in the movie incarnation. I preferred the book much better. The movie was doing OK until the T Rex started tromping through downtown LA or wherever it was. The T-Rex was never taken to LA in the (...) (26 years ago, 6-Jan-00, to lugnet.adventurers)
