  Re: Help Wanted

(...) SNIP (...) Hello, Rene, I've been watching with amazement at the alarming rate at how fast things are changing here. Most are for the good. Heck, all seem to be for the good. So, a thank you to you and your crew. but... About what you just (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Help Wanted

(...) I also found your photo with the sheet of paper with all the hand-written notes on it. There are very interesting ideas on it too. (...) That would be nice. First I could need one or two people helping with something I will announce later (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Help Wanted

I made this page in 2002: (URL) help might still be needed. What do people think? Are these needs worth pursuing? Would it be helpful to update the list and publicize it? Although I am no longer a LUGNET administrator, perhaps I could be of some (...) (20 years ago, 27-Jun-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I would just like to add my voice in here. This sounds like a great plan. Danny (20 years ago, 9-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I certainly agree that a LDD group is warranted as a younger generation seems to be gravitating towards its use. It might be worthwhile to create a Lego Factory group as well, for users to post MOCs that are for sale, etc. (20 years ago, 9-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) Makes lotsa good sense. Steve (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I think this makes good sense too. Kevin (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I support this, both from a LDraw parts admin standpoint and also on behalf of the LDD developers with whom I have established contact. Chris (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) Sounds reasonable. I support the request. /Tore (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

(...) I second the request. with LDD supporting LDraw it is likely that we get more posts on LDD issues by afols and I'd rather see them in a fine seperate subgroup. w. LDraw.org Webmaster (20 years ago, 8-Jun-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: NXT newsgroup needed

(...) I believe this topic has been mention before that is no reason to create a new newsgroup. The reason for the robotics newsgroup is cover all areas of robotics: 'Mindstorms','RCX', 'NXT, etc. I am starting to feel there is 'TOO' many newsgroups (...)   NXT newsgroup needed

Can we get a lugnet.robotics.nxt newsgroup soon? (20 years ago, 6-May-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

Re: those crazy Vikings (Was: Viking Longship)

(...) I'd like to create .vikings. I hope that will be acceptable. -Suz ~/\~ (^^)/ (20 years ago, 23-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: those crazy Vikings (Was: Viking Longship)

(...) lugnet.vikings makes the most sense to me. Personally, I don't understand the resistance to creating a new group for it. If we have lugnet.galidor, why not lugnet.vikings? I would've thought a new group for {any} new theme would almost be an (...) (20 years ago, 21-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: those crazy Vikings (Was: Viking Longship)

(...) I tend to agree that .castle.vikings would be better than .pirates.vikings(though I think simple .vikings would be better then either). Historically, though, it seems to have been generally acceptable to post distinctly non-piratey stuff to (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: those crazy Vikings (Was: Viking Longship)

(...) I would personally prefer to see .castle.vikings, or just make it clear that vikings belong in .castle. I really don't think of vikings as part of the pirate theme. I know pirates is kind of dead, but I hate to see all this really non-piratey (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: those crazy Vikings (Was: Viking Longship)

(...) I agree. And not simply because Lego say they are a standalone theme. Once the vikings leave their ships, they are less and less like pirates and more and more like castle types. When we get a few non-maritime viking mocs, it would seem wrong (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

Re: those crazy Vikings (Was: Viking Longship)

(...) LOL well that's all well and good, but according to lego.com (URL) it is actually a theme>. Whether you make it a subset of pirates or not, I think it still should have it's own group ;) ROSCO (trimmed groups) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-06, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

those crazy Vikings (Was: Viking Longship)

(...) I read that the Vikings didn't use saws to make their boats. That's pretty amazing. (...) Ha! Well, you know I'd love to, but I'd take flak from the masses for being even more of a compartmentalized dork, right? ;-) In my own defense, here's (...)   More information about viking ships (Was: Viking Longship)

(...) (URL) well, Jacob PS: Any chance we'll get a "lugnet.vikings" group? (20 years ago, 12-Apr-06, to lugnet.boats, lugnet.pirates, lugnet.castle, lugnet.admin.suggestions)
