  Post preview screen behaving strangely?

Since I switched to Firefox 1.0 the other day I've noticed that when I preview a post, the preview text box is a lot narrower than the entry box, casuing the preview to be wrapped before the end of each line. And it only seems to happen when I'm (...) (21 years ago, 12-Nov-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Escape char in FTX links

Using the escape character (`) inside link angle brackets seems to disable the link, except if the character escaped is a formatting charater eg: </~469/ test<it> compared with: </~469/ test{it> Note that the escape itself actually works, it just (...)   Re: Parts Ref upgrade?

(...) You could do something similar with Peeron's search: (URL) think Steve gave up on updating Partsref since the update process was very manual work and extreamly difficult for him. That, and LDraw starting to host their own part images - it was (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Parts Ref upgrade?

(...) There's a couple of nice features of Partsref that I've used: It can be included easily in FTX, eg: [LDrawPart 3001:7] I have used that feature quite a bit, but have often come up against the limited number of parts in the Partsref. You can (...) (22 years ago, 28-Oct-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Quotes in FTX

I just noticed that FTX seems to convert "double quotes" to chr 147 & 148, and it seems to depend on whether there is white space on one side or the other. However it doesn't seem treat the hard carriage return ( ) as white space. Maybe it should? (...) (22 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Re: Request for .vignette group

(...) Wouldn't that be classic-castle.com? :P Just kidding. I feel a little paternal to this recent fad on English. I had noticed that three Japanese builders had built similar MOCs and mentioned it in a thread on classic-castle: (URL) subsequently (...) (22 years ago, 22-Oct-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Request for .vignette group

(...) But that's fine, because people who don't read .aquazone (and do read LUGNET) are rational actors who act as they do because they *don't care* about Aquazone. They have chosen which MOCs they consider worthy of their interest by their (...) (22 years ago, 22-Oct-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Request for .vignette group

(...) Sorry - I meant to say .build.vignette (Thanks, ROSCO!), but it was late when I did my initial post. My thoughts on this was to have a place to group/view MOCs of the small scale. There are newsgroups more suited for 'large-scale' MOCs: such (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Re: Request for .vignette group

(...) Note, this is my personal thinking, not official policy! I'm not sure that we ought to create a new group for every "fad" building style that comes along unless it has legs. Vignettes are very neat, I agree, but I'm not sure they have (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Request for .vignette group

Dear LUGNET Admin, I would like to formally request (suggest) that a newsgroup (.moc.vignette or something similar) be created. There have been numerous posts of 'vignette' MOCs over the past few weeks, and I, for one, feel that there is a (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)
