  Re: E-Mail Confirmations Working?

(...) I didn't get a confirmation email to my test post (interface) just now, but more than that, I haven't received any posts by email from the groups to which I subscribe since sometime yesterday.   E-Mail Confirmations Working?

Is anyone else having problems posting via NNTP? I can post (according to my news reader) but never receive the confirmation e-mails from the LUGNET server. It was working fine earlier today. Mike - mike_walsh at mindspring dot com (23 years ago, 25-Sep-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

Re: Authentication: does anyone say NO or MAYBE?

Authentication: does anyone say NO or MAYBE?

Just curious. When faced with the 4-way choice: * Yes I wrote it and I want to post it * Yes I wrote it but no I don't want to post it * No I didn't write it * Maybe I want to think about it what proportion of people actually select one of the (...) (23 years ago, 7-Aug-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

(...) suggests to me that it is for general discussion of DACTA rather than something like the .lego-direct group.   x-http header?

hey, just an idea... when you get news-by-mail, there's an x-http header (or something similar), that will give you the url to the same message in the web interface... useful when you want to rate a message you just read.
