(...) Well, that's not *precisely* true, I don't believe. First, I don't believe you've EVER been able to do edits of posts here, no matter how they were originated. Only cancels. G'day, For some reason I am unable to connect to the NNTP server, assuming its address is still lugnet.com (note, I haven't tried using the NNTP server in years). I keep getting the following message from Agent: "Connection refused by server (...) (21 years ago, 1-Feb-04, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

(...) I'm really sorry about that. I've got a script that runs once a minute and checks whether xinetd is running, and if it finds that it isn't, it restarts it. I installed this a couple months ago when we had the massive NNTP traffic -- it was (...) (21 years ago, 23-Dec-03, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.admin.nntp)

I don't want to use the web client. It's clunky. With NNTP, I can read posts offline, choose my NNTP client (thus finding a UI that is right for me), etc. Thanks for the info though.
