It actually does now (as of about 3-4 weeks ago) -- to make it go, sign in with your member ID+password and then fill out the forms (news posting setup, skip-filter, news-by-mail settings) and they'll be stored into your member record on the (...) | Sounds like maybe you should automate it, and have a script-driven requester that takes the address of the user and then automatically sends the password to the registered address of the person.
