How about a new group? lugnet.off-topic.Larry&Scott

I don't mind the nitpicking between the two, so long as I don't have to deal
with it regularly. They are the main reason I stay out of .Debate. How can I
defend a point when the group gets flooded with twenty It's-not-me-it's-him
posts? (that's rhetorical, by-the-way) No sense trying...

Now I just stick to a smaller section of Lugnet where they don't hang out.
It's calmer, quieter and the information value per post is higher.

T-Bird,

I came across this post kind of accidentally. I wasn't going to reply but
then I figured I should publicly voice my support for what you said.

You know, I made the foolish mistake of getting into these fruitless
debates. LUGNET is supposed to be about Lego and there I was debating
trivial things that didn't add up to a hill of bricks. Furthermore, I often
encountered rude and obnoxious people who, it seemed to me, enjoyed behaving
like jerks since they could get away with it from behind their computer
screens. Unfortunately, I started acting like a jerk too but two wrongs
don't make a right. I don't even go near off-topic.debate anymore. I've
since learned my lesson and hopefully these fools will learn it too.

You da man :)

To Everyone,

I'll just say that I think Scott and Larry should take their crapola to
email and keep it there!

LUGNET is about Lego and people sharing their talent, creativity and desire
for building cool stuff out of these little bricks, as well as sharing
enthusiasm for collecting the retail Lego products/models. And the debate
forum should be kept to friendly discussions, NOT flame-a-thons and
nitpicking the heck out of each other (or, in my case, condemning Zionism or
arguing over whether Carl Sagan publicly said "billions and billions"). How
idiotic of me! Does what I say, or what anyone else says, on this forum make
even the remotest difference in the REAL WORLD?!

All Scott and Larry are doing is polluting LUGNET with negative energy,
namely in off-topic.debate. My advice to everyone who is bothered by "The
Scott and Larry Show" is to COMPLETELY IGNORE IT! Don't even read their
endless posts and petty bickering and, for your own sake and everyone else,
don't ever publicly reply to anything they say, good or bad. Send them an
email privately. Otherwise, that just gives these two grandstanders the
excuse to post more and more, further adding to the downward spiral. They
want an audience, they want spectators, they want attention so don't give it
to them! Don't reward and dignify their negative behavior with the even
slightest response.

I realize that this is a public message so, ironically, I'm giving those two
an excuse to respond publicly. But I don't intend to post anything or read
anything further in this thread anyway, or especially ever read anything
they post (I haven't in over a month and I feel great), so the joke is on
them. So, Scott and Larry, email me or see me in person if you have a bone
to pick with me. Grow up and behave like grown MEN! Take your stupid, petty
bickering to email, KEEP IT THERE and/or kindly shut the **** up!
