Re: Announcing BricksWest™ 2002 - The West Coast LEGO® Fan Event

I agree with Larry. It would certainly help locate topics and discussions directly related to the convention. Todd or Suzanne, are you out there listening? Todd (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: eBay's Auction for America

If Suzanne reads my posts and thinks they are off-topic, she is welcome to cancel them, or even transfer them to OTD (if that can be done). Scott A (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: eBay's Auction for America

(...) 4 points: 1) It was because I have some consideration towards people that I made the post. 2) The post was about Lego direct - it was not off.topic chat (in my opinion). 3) I was debating nothing. What I said is my view, and calling me "rude" (...) (23 years ago, 16-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Cool LEGO Site of the Week

I know it's difficult to keep a website updated, but Cool LEGO Site of the Week seems to have become Cool LEGO Site of the Month... ...which is a pity since I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys reading the reviews and visiting new sites I've (...)   Re: . market for HTML?

(...) Well, I'm not in the NNTP crowd, but I still think allowing HTML in posts would be a Bad Thing (even just in .market). I suppose the only thing I could see doing would be allowing FTX pages to be "posted" since they're less likely to break (...) (23 years ago, 15-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: eBay's Auction for America

Scott, you have been asked, twice, to keep this topic in .debate yet you repeatedly redirect it back to lego.direct. How rude. The lego.direct newsgroup is for direct communication, not prolonged discussion. You are in violation of the charter for (...)   Re: Announcing BricksWest™ 2002 - The West Coast LEGO® Fan Event

Suggest that an events.brickswest be set up, just as an events.brickfest was... something tells me there is going to be a fair bit of discussion (some along the lines of Tim provoking a Matt-toot of his horn, of course all in (...)   Re: . market for HTML?

(...) This is a NNTP feed. I do not enjoy it when people mistake a news post for a web page (or IE document, but that is another rant).   Re: . market for HTML?

  Re: . market for HTML?

(...) In what way would the use of HTML help either the buyers or the sellers? You can readily put links in straight text, and browser-based newsreaders will notice them and allow direct clicking on them. Opening up any group to HTML only opens them (...)   . market for HTML?

Most of the threads started in the .market groups are basically advertsiments. Is it time we allowed HTML posts in this group to help buyers *&* sellers?   Link update request

Could someone revise the RcxCC version 3.2 link on the lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc page to something like the following: <a href="(URL) Bricx Command Center (formerly known as RcxCC v3.2) </a> Thanks. John Hansen (23 years ago, 12-Oct-01, to lugnet.admin.general)
