No, that is not correct.
Perhaps I didn't post my mod very clearly ("straight sale" gets expanded
explicitly to include third party shops and Cary's prohibition against them
is struck) but my intent is that BST, and not .brickshops, is the place to
flog sales. .brickshops becomes more like .theory but with a focus on the
mechanics (and status) of the shops.
Cary on the other hand is saying to keep sales out of bst and move them into
brickshops.
Our proposals in this area are similar in that both of us do not think
posting to both places is good, but different in that the one place we would
want to see posting differs.

or "up", or "here's why it is down", or "here's how I deal with bad buyers"
or, "here's mechanics of my order tracking process" or "here's details on a
new shipping offer that may be helpful" or etc.

No. The added"commercial" rules it out, I think (guessing at Cary's intent).
By tradition and some comments that have been here in the past, .shopping
seems to be intended for "big"/"real" shops, you know the kind, they have
full time employees or may have a brick/mortar component, etc. That's what
the readership seems to prefer. Posts there tend to be "I found something at
TRU" rather than "Hey, *I* am TRU and I have something great for you".
That rules your shop, and mine, out, unless we get full time employees or a
storefront, I guess. Hence my suggested change to move garage sales out, for
they are more small time than you or I and thus don't belong in a group
intended for huge shopping experiences.
But I would be OK with brickbay sales going ONLY there instead of ONLY .bst
Just not both there AND .bst... and especially not there AND .bst AND
.brickshops.
