In what way would the use of HTML help either the buyers or the sellers?
You can readily put links in straight text, and browser-based newsreaders
will notice them and allow direct clicking on them. Opening up any group
to HTML only opens them up to the incredibly bulky output from automated
HTML generators. The MS ones like Word are extremely bad - they generate
kilobytes of MS-specific HTML comments for a few hundred characters of
actual text, and the result only works fully inside IE or Outlook.
