Re: 6769 Fort Legoredo on sale at Shop At Home!!

Jake McKee wrote in message ... (...) This is great that Jake is letting us know about this stuff, but is it appropriate in lugnet.announce? I have deliberately *not* been announcing my commercial stuff in .announce because I thought it was not OK. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Lugnet.lego.direct and its charter

(...) Hmm... after reading (URL) maybe my idea ain't such a good one. Oh well... it's just a bunch of plastic toys. What was I thinking anyway? :-P -Tom McD. when replying, to avoid non-stickage, use Pam on your spam. (25 years ago, 10-Feb-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Lugnet.lego.direct and its charter

After reading the .lego.direct charter, I was unclear if this message (URL) was appropriate for the group. Further digging led to (URL) where I concluded that message #1854 was not appropriate due to its use of a "tabloid-like" tone. I have no (...) (25 years ago, 10-Feb-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Block List?

(...) This again, huh? :-) Ya, I think there could be a way to do that. But I'd roll it in with a more general filter, where you ask the webserver to bump messages up or down in priority based on various criteria. I've been thinking a lot about (...)   Block List?

Todd - I know this has come up before...but could there be a way to block posters from appearing on the web interface similar to posts from newsgroups? You could either hook it up to the x-real-life-name or email address header items, and do a (...) (25 years ago, 7-Feb-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Problems contacting me ?

(...) don't you mean more cons than pros... (...) Yea, I agree, I think lugnet.people probably is the best place. lugnet.market... is also acceptable I think. lugnet.general is probably ok, but not preferred (I'd actually really like to see us try (...)   Re: Problems contacting me ?

(...) It probably is OK for lugnet.people -- that's prolly the safest spot, unless it happens a lot. I like the idea of a special "contact me" forum, but then again maybe it has more pros than cons -- it would be one step more hidden, and it's hard (...)   Re: Problems contacting me ?

(...) Hmm, I just came up with a few ideas since we regularly see these types of things. The first would be lugnet.people.contact-me where people can post "hey, where is Fred, we were in the middle of a deal and I haven't got an e-mail in over a (...)   Re: Links page

(...) Yeah, I just submitted an update for my page (I don't think I've had an account at cdc.net for at least 3 years) - doh! Serious Collector is gone, too - I guess it should be removed, but I guess Todd or Linc would need to make the call on (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Links page

Todd, is the Links page at (URL) a historical artifact, or is it likely ever to be updated? If no-one is currently in charge of it I would be willing to take it on once the Town Building Contest is over... some time in March. Kevin ---...--- (...) (25 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Dumb Question

Todd I was just wondering who suggested a newsgroup for Binghamton NY?   Re: News search function reactivated (was: News search function temporarily disabled)

Re: Email copies of lugnet posts still working ?
