Is it time for lugnet.build.sculpture ? —Eric Kingsley
Just a thought because of all the great Sculpture's that have been showing up lately from Eric H. and Henry L. and others. It seems worthy to me although I don't know about how others feel about further compartmentalization. I love the stuff and (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) EricH, HenryL, etc. -- what do you think? Would this help or would this contribute to unneeded fragmentation? Do you read .build reguarly? If not, would you read a .build.sculpture regularly? I think it's a great idea, but only if the (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build)

(...) Todd, I'm flexible. I'm fine with the structure now. If a .sculpture subgroup were added I would probably still post to .general .build and .build.sculpture (with follow-up to .sculpture). There are certainly issues with building that are (...)        (...) As a minor player in the sculpture arena, I echo all of Eric's comments quoted above. Andrew (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build)

(...) Well, I'm not one of the people building big (awesome!!!) sculptures, but as an admiring fan, it would be great if there was a newsgroup that would catch all (or most) of them, making it easy for me to search (and drool). :) James (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Is it time for lugnet.build.sculpture ? —Brad Hamilton
The issue with fractioning groups is that a fan must scan more groups to find new MOC's. I only build mini-fig style models, but I like to look at pretty-much everything else. I think that the mecha sub-group is a good idea because it is a HUGE (...) (24 years ago, 23-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Is it time for lugnet.build.sculpture ? —Steve Bliss
(...) Maybe there sh/could be a direct link to .build from the LUGNET home page? "Check out what other fans are building, or post about your own creations!" (...) I think the problem is for people to *find* .build. Once they've gone that far, (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.build)

Re: Is it time for lugnet.build.sculpture ? —Henry Lim
It doesn't bother me to have a sub-group. What with the sculptures LEGO now offers (giant mini-fig, Statue of Liberty), it seems like a legitimate category. However, what we really need is a lugnet.build.ericharshbarger for his postings and (...) (24 years ago, 23-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
