  Re: Lugnet having intermittent problems?

(...) was, given that since Lugnet was responding slowly, I was swapped out to other tasks and just leaning on the retry button every few minutes to see if it was back. Good luck with your bughunt. I hope it's not a DoS attack. ++Lar (25 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Lugnet having intermittent problems?

(...) I'm digging to isolate the problem. It's not a capacity limit problem -- the normal load on the server is moderate. It's something else, most likely a bug in the webserver somewhere. I caught three httpd processes spinning, each using 33% of (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Lugnet having intermittent problems?

I had several instances of "server busy, try later..." as well as seeing that the traffic report is "all quiet" across the board again. Are we starting to push the capacity limits of Lugnet(tm) or are there other issues behind the scenes? I'm (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Server freakage today

Twice today in the past two hours, the load average on the lugnet.com server has shot up to extremly high levels. Normal activity is between 0.5 and 2.0 or so during the day. It spiked up to 300 twice today and then back down to normal levels. I (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.announce)

  Re: Is Brickwise being updated?

(...) Check back in about a half hour. I'm re-running it now. I'm having trouble accessing certain sites, which is causing the data not be updated, and there are no expiration or "last seen on such and such date" checks. I think the whole TRU thing (...)   Is Brickwise being updated?

I was just noticing that Brickwise seems to be very out of date for some things. I was researching the price of the 3033 Blue Tub and noticed that the prices on Brickwise were all wrong. For example: The price shown for KBKids is too low by $1.10. (...) (25 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general) !

(...) not (...) In searching for a potential new ISP, I came across a document that supports all of my own personal reasons for not posting much to Lugnet. While this document refers to Usenet, the basis for the reasoning is similar. (URL) Salm__ (25 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
