(...) (Cut alot of good stuff Todd wrote) Way to go, Todd! I was going to post something like that, but you beat me to it!   RE: Top Stories, Spotlight, etc.

(...) A great way to make this easier would be to allow members to view the entire messages in the spotlight and rate them, all on the same page. ie, if I were to view the Spotlight page with &v=a the highlighting forms would come up just like they (...)   Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

(...) Which is the most important part of LUGnet is to many of us. This may be partly an artifact of the way the web page was, but it's also because the active and healthy newsgroups are the core of the community. Even if that's an overhyped (...)   Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

(...) Oh, sorry. Yes, they'll work forever as forwarding links. What I meant above was that you won't be able to browse news at www.lugnet.com anymore (not the same way you brows news at news.lugnet.com). And technically, you won't be able to read (...)   Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

(...) That's a very large part of it, ya. It also more closely represents what LUGNET is. The news homepage only represents what LUGNET is from a news point of view. --Todd (26 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Todd & Suz <admin@lugnet.com> wrote in message news:FzBur3.2L1@lugnet.com... (...) Nice. I will use it in conjunction with the original. (...) Gaak, is this a double post? delete it if so, sorry... I think that's what I've been up to, sporadically, for the last two years or so... ++Lar (in the UK and festing this weekend, which will add 8 or 9 names on the list of AFOL's I've met in (...)   Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

(...) I'm not a selfish guy Larry, I was thinking of others and making a suggestion at the same time. If I could customise the homepage, I'm sure it'd end up like the old one pretty much - call me conservative (with a small c). Like I said, this is (...)   Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

  Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

  Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

  Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

  Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

(...) (Which isn't to rule out the possibility of customization -- only that that URL is the homepage and other top-level subdomain URLs aren't homepages even though they're top page. If you take my meaning!) --Todd (26 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Announcing new LUGNET homepage

(...) Actually, there aren't two homepages. If you look at the icons at the top of the news site, one is called "Home" and goes to (URL) and the other is called "News" and goes to (URL). The former is the LUGNET homepage and the latter is the (...) (26 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
