Actually, there aren't two homepages.  If you look at the icons at the top
of the news site, one is called "Home" and goes to <http://www.lugnet.com/>
and the other is called "News" and goes to <http://news.lugnet.com/>.  The
former is the LUGNET homepage and the latter is the top-page of the newsgroup
web interface.  Going forward, there are still some loose ends that need
cleaning up:  Things on news.lugnet.com that aren't newsgroup-related will be
moving to www.lugnet.com and, conversely, things that are newsgroup-related
on www.lugnet.com will be moving to news.lugnet.com.

There will probably be other subdomains in the coming months.  But there will
always be only one LUGNET homepage:  <http://www.lugnet.com/>

For example, you won't be able to (sometime probably within a week) be able to read news at www.lugnet.com anymore -- the only reason you still can now is just for backward compatibility and a gentle switchover. Those old URLs (now deprecated) (...) (24 years ago, 16-Aug-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
