That's the thing, Chris: I believe I do post within reasonable bounds.
My posts are not dripping with profanity; but occasionally I think some
off-color word is the appropriate one and I like having the option.
You've seen me post here and on RTL for a year now, do you think I'm an
idiot who can't express himself without profanity?  Honestly, how many
of my posts in that time have used profanity?  Have you ever seen me use
it in anger towards someone?

My posting behavior is the same here as it is on other newsgroups, no
different.  On other groups my behavior is generally considered to be
modest and self-controlled.  Only here have I had anyone suggest that my
language is innapropriate, and that for something which accounts for
less than 1% of my posts.  I am appalled, frankly.
