I like how this is handled in Deja News -- the user is presented with a
choice to "send without preview" or "preview message". At the message
preview page is another set of choices -- "send" and "return to
editing".
As for the line wraps, it's usually pretty easy to judge by eye if a
long DAT line has been wrapped.

| (...) What if WRAP=VIRTUAL were used in the TEXTAREA tag instead of WRAP=HARD when posting to lugnet.cad.dat? That oughta do it, except (a) now the paragraphs of text wouldn't wrap, and (b) it wouldn't work if the ng name were typed into the (...) (26 years ago, 13-Oct-98, to lugnet.admin.general)
