Since we're airing our grievances, here are My Top Ten Gripes About Larry Pieniazek 10. Bogarted the nachos 9. Constantly showcases his exhaustive knowledge of “Growing Pains” trivia 8. Can’t seem to come up with an English word rhyming with “month” (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

In lugnet.admin.general, Joseph Greene wrote: <snip> (...) And I'll say that there's a history shared between Larry and Chris that not all of us are privvy to.   Re: wish's - Contest canceled

(...) Greg, please be assured, that I did not believe for a moment that all of rtlToronto was in agreement on this. I simply meant to imply the group of those who did encourage and donate to the spiteful cause. (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: wish's - Contest canceled

(...) This was meant as a Jibe. (...) While it is true that he has canceled the contest, the very creation of such a vicious attack shows, IMHO, a distinctly closed minded and petty mindset. I do acknowledge that he canceled the contest, but only at (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Poll: Do you think Lugnet Admin is a good job match for Larry?

(...) I'd call a cheap shot. It's not up to us to say how LUGNET is supposed to be run.... there are rules, and in the case this no doubt relates to, the rules were followed to the T. If people can't deal with the rules they should pick up their (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: In support of Larry

(...) Tim, With respect, you are being obsequious. Can people not draw any conclusion from the fact that Larry has probably had more spats with more people than anyone else on LUGNET? Can they not make a judgment based on his willingness to flout (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people)

Re: Poll: Do you think Lugnet Admin is a good job match for Larry?

(...) This kinda reminds me of that Star Trek:TNG episode, when Data was 'acting captain' aboard, I beleive, the Endeavour... His first officer asked to be transferred because, and this is from meory so it'll be wrong... "Just as I don't believe (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: wish's - Contest canceled

(...) **snip** (...) Yeah, I thought the guidelines might have been spelled-out already but didn't know where. Now that I think of it, I remember that Larry answered my earlier question about timeout policy. But now that you mention it, I have a (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: In support of Larry

(...) I think most people know I'm not much of a "me too" guy. But sometimes, you just have to say, ME TOO! Larry's work has been dilegent and has profoundly contributed to our community. Larry's work in all the aspects of the community that he has (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people)

  In support of Larry

I'm ashamed of all the Larry-bashing that's been taking place. If you've only interacted with the man online (which I believe is the case with some of his harshest critics), you have no perspective on who he really is. Hence, you're really not (...)   Re: Lugnet should be MORE draconian

(...) This hasn't been discussed on the list, and I'm sure there are probably a variety of opinions, but I'll offer mine. Overriding the FUT of an article alters the article's metadata item known as the "Followup-To" header. While this is not part (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Bye, bye LUGNET

Re: Suspend me as well (was Susp. of Chris and Terry).

(...) Lenny, Why is he so unpopular? If it is due to his poor interpersonal skills, why not have him do the behind the scenes stuff? Scott A (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Suspend me as well (was Susp. of Chris and Terry)

(...) What I don't understand Janey - is how does anyone see what Chris did as analogous to what is normally done here on Lugnet?   Re: UNJUST Singling Out of Chris Magno and Terry P

(...) Agreed. I rarely take part in these forums any more because of this kind of snowballing stupidity. Chris and Terry were hardly the only ones breaking 'posting guidelines'. They were both baited as well, with "nothing new being brought to the (...) (16 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general) !

Re: Lugnet should be MORE draconian

(...) Well I dunno about any other editing, but I don't consider changing the FUT as editing, as it is only a suggestion anyway. All they are changing is where they'd like followups to go - you are still free to override that. And NNTP admins have (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Lugnet should be MORE draconian

Re: Suspension of Chris Magno and Terry P

(...) Wow. I could see maybe a few days or a week or something, because I agree that some things were said that probably shouldn't have been. But indefinitely? Do Chris and Terry really rank up there with Matthew Moulton and Richard Marchetti, who (...) (16 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: Suspension of Chris Magno and Terry P

(...) You guys are truly out of control - this is just amazing. The only thing being done here is making things much worse. And yes, Larry should be removed from the Admin team for his lack of respect towards the Lugnet members - it is a shame an (...) (16 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)
