As others have mentioned, I think it is high time for this discussion to
stop in the public forum. If you feel someone is being overly
disruptive, I suggest a private e-mail to the Lugnet administrators.

But I also suggest you examine if simple actions on your own part would
mitigate the situation. Most often, if a group of posters is getting
into constant friction, if one person voluntarily stop responding to the
other, most of the friction goes away. There may be many reasons for an
individual's posting habits, and we may not fully understand what is
going on. So rather than trying to look for a deep dark reason, why not
just assume the person got up on the wrong side of bed and move on with
life?

If an individual is really a "troll" and taking specific action to try
and cause trouble, they will eventually get bored with trying to provoke
action, and either go away, or try something more drastic and expose
themselves (of course with the authentication mechanism, it's much
harder for someone to do something drastic).

Fair enough, but situations like this strike me as reminiscent of the habit of school teachers to encourage questions, even if the student is reluctant, since other students might have the same query.
