Fair enough, but situations like this strike me as reminiscent of the habit
of school teachers to encourage questions, even if the student is reluctant,
since other students might have the same query. Is it better to have twenty
people email the admin with the same question, or is it better to post an
opinion and have it hashed out? I don't know, and that's why I tried to FUT
ot.debate, where it could be discussed without disrupting the general
population.
Your point is well taken, though, so I'll leave the issue at that.
