Jesse,
For quite a while, I was taking pictures with a $20 parallel port webcam
attached to a Pentium, not great resolution, but okay. Here's one example,
http://www.frontiernet.com/~ghaberbe/otv.htm , as well as most of the
pictures here, http://www.frontiernet.com/~ghaberbe/legogre.htm .
I took pictures of my blacksmith shop,
http://www.frontiernet.net/~ghaberbe/legosmit.htm , with a $30 USB webcam,
it does a decent job on my K6-2/350.
Also, the Jam Cam is still floating around for around $30, and ours came
with a serial and USB connection, one of which should work on a 300.
So, for $30 or less you should be able to get a modest camera.

| (...) Well, to be honest with you, I did leave out the part about my older brother also having a claim on the collection and he is not as nice as me. He tends to dislike huge vessels, which is why me building such a large one is like pulling teeth. (...) (22 years ago, 27-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.space)
