Re: Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

Well I don't know if this helps a bit but this is the hidden source from one of my page's forms: <input TYPE=IMAGE SRC="../../submit.jpg" NAME="E-Mail" ALT="Submit the form!"> <input type=hidden name="recipient" value="fusion@refraxion.com"> <input (...)   Re: Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

(...) Possibly. Haven't tried to isolate that. Better solution would be an altogether completely different one which took votes only from registered lifetime members and let people optionally spread their vote across more than one site if they (...)   Re: Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

(...) Oh, didn't realize there was a question. (I thought you were only making a statement about comments.) No, never got comments as part of the votes, because the mechanism for sending the form by e-mail was to use <FORM METHOD=POST (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

(...) How do transactions coming through a firewall show up? Don't they tend to show up as a single IP address (or at least a very small set) for a whole group of people? (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

Well toss one of my 2 votes today as they were trying to see if I could do it... :-) What about the "lack of comments" part of the question? Did you get many comments when voting was by mail? (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

Still some people can get multiple IP addresses. For example every time I log onto my ISP I get a different IP that way I can vote for a certain site on CLSOTW every minute or so. -- Z. Unger fusion@refraxion.com ICQ: 14375008 AIM: ErrorY3K (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: New group suggestion

  Re: New group suggestion

(...) Both BAYLIT and AucZILLA are operations which deal *exclusively* with LEGO. Contrast that with DYA, which sells other items besides LEGO. Also, BAYLIT and AucZILLA have grown up out of the operators' LEGO hobby/fanaticism. Again, contrast that (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Track Designer newsgroup?

Re: Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

(...) Not yet, no. Probably will be called lugnet.cool, though, and not lugnet.clsotw, to match the /cool/ hierarchy (which currently is only CLSotW). (...)   Re: Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

(...) If this group isn't meant to be, I'd sure love to see the clsotw announcements in lugnet.announce ... Cheers, - jsproat (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Multiple votes for CLSotW possible?

Not sure where to put this, is there a .clsotw group? Anyhoo, I like just being able to press a button to vote, instead of sending an email. But the downside may be that I can vote more than once, or seem to be able to, and there are no comments (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: About auctions and newsgroups

In lugnet.admin.general, Ray Sanders wrote a bunch of good stuff that I just snipped. Let's see. Today, we've got: lugnet.market.auction lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade lugnet.market.jambalaya lugnet.market.shipping lugnet.market.shopping (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: New group suggestion

Where do you draw the line between a business and a person selling parts/sets? What would you call BAYLIT or AucZilla, a (...) (25 years ago, 22-Feb-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: New group suggestion

Re: Self Organisation (Was: Re: No gimmicks, just some free background images)

(...) Ok. Looks like it was me who misunderstood. :) I guess I'm just coming at this from a perspective of "why vote if we don't have to?"
