| | Re: WARNING: spam from Helge Viker
| (...) I would personally find it more annoying and rude than if I had recieved junk-mail through the post or telephone solitication. If it is fine for one person to do that - then what happens when ten other people start doing it? Does that mean (...) (24 years ago, 4-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

| | Re: why no ".dat" email digests?...
| (...) Because 'lugnet.cad.dat' is retired, inactive, no-longer-in-existence. Unless I misunderstand news-by-mail, you only get messages for groups you specifically subscribe to, not all the subgroups under the specific groups. Steve (22 years ago, 24-Jun-02, to lugnet.admin.general)

| | Have the admins gone AWOL?
| I'm getting concerned about the lack of response from anyone official regarding the open mail relay issue. Add to this the lack of updates to the database from recent requests (I supplied full info for a new set weeks ago, with offers of box scans (...) (22 years ago, 23-Jan-03, to lugnet.admin.general)

| | Re: Dear NNTP users,
| (...) Um, well, since my newsreader is Pine, I suppose I could say that I follow all my e-mail through my newsreader. . .but I don't use NNTP for anything but LUGNET newsgroups (and never really read any non-LUGNET newsgroups but rtl and some (...) | | New newsgroups for Micro-scale building, Mosaics, and Sculpture
| Three new newsgroups in the lugnet.build hierarchy have been created for the focused discussion of specialty building. Micro-scale building (as in "microfig" scale) is coming into its own in a big way, thanks in a large way recently to the efforts (...) | | Re: Wanted to buy - #6376 Breezeway Cafe
| (...) What is a reasonable policy to set for this? Either we have to require that people never 'lugnet' in their e-mail address as Mike has inadvertently done (I'm sure he meant no harm), or we could allow it but require a "not affiliated with in (...) | | Re: What happened?
| (...) I just wrote to Russell Nelson (who runs the lego-robotics@crynwr.com mailing list) and asked if he knows anything about this. Hopefully we'll know more later. In the meantime, near as I can figure, it looks like the lego-robotics @crynwr.com (...) (25 years ago, 9-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.admin.general)
