  Unifying LUGNET user types

All, We're going to begin soon unifying the many types of LUGNET users into a single, coherent base system. This will greatly simplify sign-up, configuration, and daily usage, and consequently I think this will make a lot of people very, very happy (...) A hunch -- you have your mail/nntp client set up to send messages in HTML (bad client! naughty client! :-) This is generally not polite to do, since the majority of people reading this, and the majority of bots handling this, expect plain text (...)   Wal-Mart commission

Cool, I just got mail from WM. Effect on June 11, 2002 commissions on toys increase from 5% to 7%. Not that I expect we'll make a bundle of cash this way, but I thought it was interesting to see a place increase rather than decrease. -Suz (22 years ago, 30-May-02, to lugnet.admin.finance)

  Re: quoted-printable support

(...) On the well-behaved e-mail clients, yes. On the worse clients, they jam a whole paragraph into a single line. I saw one which resulted in a line 890 characters long.(!) (...)   Re: take a piece, leave a piece -- traveling box of LEGO

I LOVE boxtrot. Let's get a group asap as the posts are spread all over... Forget the mail part as it's not a given that boxes will move via mail. Actually it's not a given that the pieces will move in boxes. So I vote for mixorama. or boxtrot, what (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.admin.general)
