I'd say your observation is spot on. Costco had sets in bulk last year and they were a bit older, and quite a bit better sets in terms of value vs retail and set intrinsic quality (unless you LIKE juniorization). Does anyone know the MSRP of this set? It's a Freestyle set with 801 pieces (counting the case?) and a storage box. I've gotten the very rare (in Edmonton, anyway) FOTW - I picked 4 of these up for ~$15.00 CAD each. Now, if I knew the MSRP, I'd know (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

  Automatic part selection query
 
I got several requests on implementing automatic part selection based on colors and/or parts. If I implement one for selecting all equal parts ignoring the color, and a second which does the same, but takes care on the color would that be (...) That would need a lot of time, since MLCad does not have any information about parts behind other parts in z order - which means it would have to go through the list of all parts and see if it's within the selection rectangle. (...) Regarding the selection, MLCad uses a special buffer which keeps track of the parts visible on the screen. For all other parts I would have to go through the list of triangles, lines and quads until I find something in the rectangle. This can (...) (...) You can do that in a similar way already now: Select the parts by functionality (e.g. turning mechanism parts) and group them. Once you've grouped all parts, you can easely hide/unhide the groups as you like... Until now it's not possible to (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
