| | Re: P-38 Contest Entry: S/FB-12 "Lightning 2"
|
| (...) Thanks for the compliments! I didn't mind the wing droop terribly, but it was due to a weak structure, not design, so I thought it best for the bricks to fix it. I might change that though. I first came up with the engine design a while back (...) (21 years ago, 29-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| | Re: Naming Technic Liftarms
|
| (...) I'm not sure that rounded is needed. Brick vs. Beam is very clear. Besides for bricks the count is the number of studs (always even except for 1). For Beams it is the number of holes (typically an odd number, except in the case of 1x2.) Kevin (...) (21 years ago, 28-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts, lugnet.db.brictionary)

| | Re: Ill tidings for Built-To-Rule?
|
| (...) I just discovered BTR this weekend, and OH MY GOODNESS. I couldn't believe the level of quality. They are all on half price at my Toys R Us as well, but I didn't take this as a bad sign (at least not bad for BTR), since this is the first time (...) | | Re: Mac Brick CAD 2.2b1 New Release
|
| Hi Andrew, I've been occupied lately but I was finally able to test drive 2.2b1 for many hours this past week. So, weighing in again... I'm absolutely enjoying MBC!... most especially now that I understand what you were saying about moving the field (...) (21 years ago, 30-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac, FTX)

| | Re: Storing Minifig Torsos and Heads
|
| (...) I like. I picked up some 30-compartment pages for $0.69 apiece, and three fit nicely into a 1" binder. (URL) did find, though, that they wanted to spontaneously pop out (I guess most coins aren't 1 stud thick :-), so I stapled each flap after (...) If it weren't for that, I might still be collecting water for the pool, but I managed to (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.technic.bionicle, lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

| | Re: most wanted parts that dont exist?

| Hi, (...) although I'm very reluctant to mutilate my bricks, I actually made a couple of these. My second piece would be a cam like the one on the Technic axle crankshaft ((URL) without the axle. You might also call it a 1 1/2 length technic (...) (21 years ago, 26-Mar-04, to lugnet.general)

| | Re: Disneyland Imagination Center- PaB?
|
| (...) Well, if you're buying large bricks that have a larger air-to-plastic ratio, then by weight is better. If you're buying small, dense plates then there is a slight advantage to volume. But either way, the difference is almost negligible. (...) (21 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.market.shopping)

| | New Part: Modulex\plt0116.dat - Modulex (R) Plate 1 x 16 [DAT]

| Modulex "plates" are half the height of Modulex bricks. When dealing with clone brands, I called parts with this height relation semi-bricks. But I don't think the are any plates 1/3 of a brick in Modulex. So I think we can call them Plates. What do (...) (21 years ago, 23-Mar-04, to lugnet.cad)
