It's rather morbid, but you acn also stick them on their ends on a baseplate for instant gravestones. Green ones are mossy headstones. -Cheese (...) (25 years ago, 22-Mar-00, to lugnet.build)

One possible means would be to use 1xN bricks instead of plates for your drawbridge plank. I.e., stack a whole bunch of black or brown 1x8s and lay them on their side to form a two-plate-thick smooth drawbridge. There are still several ways you (...) (25 years ago, 13-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle)

Slopes and inverse slopes aren't "basic" bricks, though ;-) I consider them essential, especially corner slopes and INVERSE corner slopes (too dang hard to get in sets these days).   LEGO brick bookends
 
Has anyone made bookends using LEGO bricks? I wonder how thick/big/heavy they have to be in order to work nicely? In terms of "real" bookends I've only had luck with marble or stone bookends -- even wood tends to be too light. But LEGO brick (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jun-00, to lugnet.fun.crafts)

It's mostly bricks - 1x/2x for the statue, 2x for the base. I told one of the people there that we REALLY needed 2x2 and 2x4 slopes in that color for copper roofs.
