  Re: Mini-RCX

(...) I don't see a problem with the computer side of things - what concerns me is battery storage and power management. You can get *tiny* computers that would easily fit in this kind of tiny space - but the RCX motors need 9 volts - you would need (...) (20 years ago, 25-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics)

use of single features of BrickOS

Hi, I am working for the university of Stuttgart. And like universities are, they always need to do something special. That's why my task is to use Micro C/OS-II with the Bricks. There ist just a problem: Micro C/OS-II does not contain methods to (...) (20 years ago, 22-Oct-04, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

Re: How to mount a LARGE mosaic

(...) To get correct stud spacing you need to leave some room between baseplates anyway. If you don't have any bricks/plates spanning more than 1 baseplate, it isn't a problem, but I'd probably do it anyway, just for my aesthetic gratification :) (...)   Most redundant Lego part

Do you ever wonder sometimes why Lego developed some particular part and say to yourself "what were they thinking?". The one piece that comes to my mind is the 1x4x2 arch. I mean it is virtually identical to the 1x4 arch plus two 1x1 bricks attached (...) (20 years ago, 24-Oct-04, to lugnet.general)

  Mini-RCX

Hi, My brother and I have been tossing the idea around of a mini-RCX. We have narrowed our idea down to a two sensor, two motor brick that would be approximately 4X6 studs on top, and about two bricks high. We were just wondering if anyone out there (...) (...) Yeah, some of those Boat parts need to be relocated. Especially now that the Wedge group has been broadened to include the boat base bricks (originally, wedges were only the 3x4 wedges, like part 6069). (...) That's not a totally bad idea. (...)
