Re: 2005 Toy Fair pics for Megabloks

(...) I'm not necessarily bothered by specialized elements (and I have long argued that anyone interested in LEGO trains CAN NOT be bothered by specialized elements), but mostly I'm bothered that the Megabloks elements don't fit stylistically with (...)   Octagonal building technique: help!

I am in the process of creating a building that has eight sides. Four of them were easy to create as they are either perpendicular or parallel to each other. The problem is with the other four sides. I tried using a "Brick 3x3 Facet" to go across (...) (20 years ago, 12-Mar-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

  Re: Ships' Boats

(...) The launch is fairly easier, given the six-wide base. I use 2x plates internally running the length of the keel and boat plates (round 2x2 inverted tiles) underneath to sandwich the six wide plates of the hull and six wide bow plates. The SNOT (...) (...) Ah--now I get it. And I guess it's true; a bunch of people in ot.clones have lamented the over-specialization of elements in the Dragons line. Heck(1), I myself have griped about the difficulty of LDraw-rendering all of those faux wood-grain (...) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands)

Downtown Disney Lego Store to reopen Sat March 12

Re: FLL not allowing NQC; Mindscript is allowed
