MC7 Ball Joint Frame ZRX1 version.
|
Hits some cool poses.
|
Thank you, that was part of my goal for this excersize.
Leads one to appreciate like when your in art class and your drawing a nude
subject. Id really like to pursue emulating poses I see in real life with the
ZRX1.
I know some dancers, performers, martial artists and Im thinking of trying to
learn some poses and then model them.
|
Id like to see some close up pics of the specific
joints.
|
I can provide you with the
this full size image.
Thats it until further details are worked out concerning the Biomechanical
Bricks edition of the MC7 second generation frame custon kit.
|
Does it hold much weight?
|
Well see how much when I build the skin. The abilities of the ZRX1 are many
fold as compared to the original, and the orginal supported the Ryetsumaki. So
its ability to support an external structure are as good if not many times
better. More room too to make connections for armor and skins.
|
I dont see any doubles or stiffening a la Snead.
|
No offense, but I dont use handicaps. You ougta know that.
No insult intended towards our good friend.
The double ball joints create the kind of stiffness your talking about.
Plus the shoulders use glued ball joints from Bionicle watches.
That connection points only purpose is to swing the upper arm and pivot it
front and back slightly. The dual ball joints adjacent to the shoulders, work
the splay function and provide a sturdy base for the arm structure. The dual
ball joints located throughout the frame work great, very stiff, very strong.
The hips use the single piece dual ball joint part I pointed out.
That eliminates any seperation in the hips.
The 4 single ball joints in the shoulders and hips work in concert with each
other. Along with the arms and ankles, the spine also adds a dynamic to where
the stresses are channeled.
Without trying to sound over technical, the thing is sturdy, flexible and holds
its pose. Part of the beauty of scale and inter-relation between the limbs and
joints.
Sorry, I guess Im bound to sound Technical, sorry to bust your rusty balls.
hahahahahaa.

So are you planning on selling them like the bots? You sort of said you were.
|
The ZRX1 version true to its form with glued ball joints from Bionicle watches
are tough to come by. BTW, Do you (or anybody) think that recommending to glue
the Ball Joints (for the shoulders) if you got a set would be ok? I know I
mentioned being all purist about handicaps, BUT, and it is 3 letters, the
soultion is needed for the shoulders, and it mimicks a real application in a
real set, the rare glued Bionicle Watch ball and 4L axle. Thoughts?
My only desire is, if you or anybody does get one in your hands, I would want
you to experience the model as I have it, with the rare two shoulder parts; the
factory glued ball joints. To see how rock solid this new Co-produced version
is. To that end; if we/you do not have the Glued Ball Joints from the Bionicle
Watches (I know I sound like a broken record) in the Kit or in your own
collection, we are leaning towards recomending gluing them. Blush, sorry Chris,
you rock, what were some of those Snead Techniques and how we used to say stuff
like, Snead my joints baby...! lol
|
Plus this has made me actually start building the frame Ive been thinking of
since LAST time Snead was actually down here...what 9 months ago?
|
Snead! I come for you!
Thanks Bryce, and congrats again on your win of the BBC 25 for the Rack.
Really very cool and a way out concept, bravo!
