Re: Thoughts on Battery-powered IR-controlled trains

(...) Who makes people believe that old stuff is obsolete as soon as a successor becomes available? To stay ontopic in this .trains area, I'm still using blue tracks and motors and remote controled points (yes blue points!). Still working (...) (19 years ago, 13-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

CIao Gianluca, il mio era solo un esempio, non necessariamente diretto al plastico (e comunque se costruisci un modulo più largo di 8 stud non è un problema), e la piastra sotto può essere qualunque cosa, anche le famigerate basi stradali.   Getting out of the hobby

[I posted this over in lugnet.market.appraisal before realizing it's a pretty dead newsgroup. If I don't get a response here either, I'll probably just sell them one at a time on ebay] According to my out of date peeron.com inventory, I have over (...)   Re: Moduli x diorama 2006

Sapete che mi avete proprio incuriosito?!?!? Mi sa tanto che anch'io proverò a fere qualche modulo...magari cantiere, per rimanere in tema... Ovviamente appena riuscirò a capire bene tutto ciò che mi serve e soprattutto tutti i parametri in comune (...) (19 years ago, 12-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.it.itlug)

New Trains and BBB Wheels? (was: Re: Still more)

(...) Good question. I'm eager to order a set and find out how BBB wheels will do with the new battery powered trains. I've tried BBB wheels with the 845 motor: (URL) Which easily accepts a technic axle. With large BBB drivers, at 9V the speed is a (...) It looks remarkably simplistic yet elegant. I do have one very minor problem, however, with your javascript slideshow thingy. It tends to advance two frames, instead of one, could you please add conventional links like in a folder on brickshelf or (...) (19 years ago, 11-Jan-06, to lugnet.technic)

Hot Mindstorms NXT News from MacWorld

(This message also appears on my blog: (URL)) At MacWorld I was talking to the LEGO Education (Dacta) guy there and he told me some interesting things about Mindstorms NXT that I hadn’t heard anywhere else.
