  another comparison

We have compared the sampling and computing speed of NXT and RCX. NXT uses standard firmware 1.03 and is programmed with the LabVIEW toolkit. RCX is programmed with ULTIMATE ROBOLAB. Both bricks do the same thing: computing the DFT on a small (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Two moonbase modules from Brickfest 2006

(...) The last fest I made it to was Brickfest PDX in 2004 and the moonbase was in full effect. I remember seeing you there. In fact, I ran up to you with a big smile on my face and said, "Hey, Bram! It's me, you're old buddy Brendan!" but you just (...) (18 years ago, 21-Jan-07, to lugnet.space)

Re: Two moonbase modules from Brickfest 2006

(...) Thanks! I think sometimes the smaller moonbase modules get lost between the supermodules, so it's nice to hear that! Have you been to a fest with a moonbase? I think the last time I saw you was the first Brickswest, but I could be (...) (18 years ago, 21-Jan-07, to lugnet.space)

  Re: another comparison

(...) 1. The DFT certainly may be considered as overkill for a toy robot kit. But I am not sure that this forum considers the RCX or NXT only as toys. To say that NXT or RCX are not made for this or that is like saying to the inventor of the pencil (...) (18 years ago, 21-Jan-07, to lugnet.robotics)

Great window idea - not mine

(URL) The back of 1x1 bricks do make really neat small windows. It's such a simple technique but so effective. I know I'll be using this if the opportunity ever arises. Tim (18 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build.schleim, lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) That was pretty much the exact idea that I presented to Kjeld when I went on the Inside Tour. As Calum said though, reliability would be the downfall-as well as speed. Its too bad bricks are not magnetic, then could use a magnetic crane. I was (...) (18 years ago, 20-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Proposed Assembly Line Project

(...) That's what I figured. Not having any of these motors, I cobbled it in LDRAW, and the clips in the model are too low. I figure I'll just make a dolly the same size from bricks and the old train wheels (with the metal axle from the 4.5V days) (...) (18 years ago, 19-Jan-07, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Those two wires will supply the two recievers. if you can stack them, why not have four recivers, each on different channels? why not (...) (18 years ago, 16-Jan-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)
