  Re: Brick Century Military

(...) From what Ben's Bricks wrote about the cost of custom molds, a Chinese contact seems to be the easier and cheaper route. Isn't Oxford the new Shifty? I don't think the bricks aren't protected by copyright. Didn't the Hong Kong court rule that? (...) (20 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

(...) I wasn't sure if Shifty / Brick / .. became Oxford. I think I have an old post that listed a source for buying new Oxford sets, but they work out the same or higher priced than real Lego. Nice info on Korean Lego schools. The eBay contact I (...) (20 years ago, 8-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, FTX)

  Shifty Brick set reviews

The dreaded Shifty/Brick brand has now appeared in Brisbane, Australia, spotted by a group of LUGnetters at a recent OzFest (see (URL) the interests of scientific research, informed consumerism, and saving a bit of dosh, I went along to the same (...)   July Dinner - and let's skip it!

Hi everyone, As the Bricks in the Six is a few days later, and many of us are building furiously for that fan event. So to save stress and anguish, we can forego the dinner next Friday - July 14th - and we can catch up on August 11th. See you at (...) (1 year ago, 7-Jul-23, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Shifty set

Hi! In a local shop I noticed a Shifty set, a copy of Lego 1761: (URL) bought it, just to see what it was, and found: The box is a copy, with the right colours, and the error on the box - there are by some reason two models of this one. I can't find any other current Shifty auctions, so maybe Ebay is on the lookout for the ersatz brand. (...) It (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general)

(...) Hard to say, but you might be. :) Try checking dollar stores in your area; I've seen the little sets (HTO sized) in them here and there, under the brand name "Shifty Bricks" or just "Shifty".   Re: Profanity again

(...) Well, it's only my opinion, but I'd suggest that a "true" clone brand is based on the studs-and-tubes system and is able to maintain reasonable clutch power with LEGO bricks and plates.
