Re: NXT BrickSorter - Sorting bricks with a HiTechnic colour sensor.

(...) Cool stuff, and a very elegant design. I was wondering if there is a reason you don't have cups all the way around the sorter? Have you tried to put the color sensor inside a housing to cut down on ambient light? And the real question the (...) (18 years ago, 7-Apr-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, FTX)

Galactica Rag Tag Fleet: 3 new transport ships!

Hello my dear fellows! Today I'd like to show you three transport ships of the so-called "Rag Tag Fleet", the collection of civilian ships which follows and is protected by the Battlestar Galactica. The following vessels are all from the Classic (...) (17 years ago, 22-Apr-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build.microscale, FTX)

Yes Aaron, your fairies made it into the Miniland NYC scene of "MidSummer Nights Dream" And I am proud to say that the retail kit Statue of Liberty that I glued back in 2001, was scavenged, repaired, and is now sitting in the Vegas Cluster, as (...)   Re: NXT BrickSorter - Sorting bricks with a HiTechnic colour sensor.

(...) Thx for the comments. The design as it stands right now would not allow the sorter unit to rotate all the way around - not a bad idea though. I wanted to challenge myself with the angle idea on the sorter itself (2 rows of cups). With larger (...) (18 years ago, 8-Apr-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt, FTX)

  Flesh colored bricks?

I was poking around brickshelf and located some pix of the new Las Vegas display in miniland @ LLCA and noticed some bricks in a color I didn't recognize: (URL) there anyone who is familiar with them that might be able to confirm? Best, Jonathan (18 years ago, 30-Mar-07, to lugnet.color)

Re: LDD - MOC Steam Engine inspired by Streamlined Hudson

(...) Well, I'm no train expert, I only started building train MOCs a little over a year ago, but I'll be happy to share my opinions. And the number one thing you should do, in my opinion, is visit (URL). Ben Fleskes, a Lugnet member, sells custom (...) (17 years ago, 20-Apr-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

NXT BrickSorter - Sorting bricks with a HiTechnic colour sensor.

What better idea to come up with to test the HiTechnic colour sensor then to build a LEGO brick sorter. So, that’s what I did. After quickly learning that the sensor does not read colour from a distance (in my excitement I forgot to read the (...) (18 years ago, 7-Apr-07, to lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Roller Coaster runs on Monorail Track

(...) It was designed to be modular - each section is 16x16, and drops either 2 bricks (straight) or 4 bricks (corner). I carried it all in flight luggage, each part wrapped in tight cling-film (plastic food wrap) and I'm amazed the curves held (...) (18 years ago, 29-Mar-07, to lugnet.technic, FTX)
